Product Description
Inactivated vaccine against black disease, braxy, malignant oedema and enterotoxemias induced by Cl. chauvoei, Cl. novyi type B, Cl. septicum, Cl. sordellii and Cl. perfringes type A, C&D.
It induces immunity against Cl. perfringens Type B. This immunity comes from the combination of the fractions Type C (β toxin) and Type D (ε toxin).
Composition
Each dose contains;
- 0.3 IU Cl. perfringens α antitoxin
- 10 IU Cl. perfringens β antitoxin
- 5 IU Cl. perfringens ε antitoxin
- 2.5 IU Cl. septicum α antitoxin
- 3.5 IU Cl. novyi α antitoxin
- 100% protection against Cl. sordellii and Cl. chauvoei challenge.
Adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide gel.
Indication
Immunization of cattle, sheep and goats against blackleg, black disease, braxy, malignant edema and enterotoxemias caused by Cl. chauvoei, Cl. novyi Type B, Cl. septicum, Cl. sordellii and Cl. perfringens Types A, B, C and D.
Target Species
Cattle, sheep, and goats.
Administration and Dosage
Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
- Cattle: 5 ml
- Calves 3 ml
- Sheep and goats: 2 ml
- Lamb: 1 ml
Vaccination Program
- Vaccination of calves of vaccinated mothers:
- 1st dose of Cubolac 6-8 weeks of age (after calving).
- 2nd dose of Cubolac after 4-6 weeks.
- Vaccination of calves of non-vaccinated mothers:
- 1st dose of Cubolac 2 weeks of age (after calving).
- 2nd dose of Cubolac after 4-6 weeks.
- Vaccination of cows:
- 2 doses of Cubolac to be given 4-6 weeks apart
- Vaccination of Lamb of vaccinated mothers:
- 1st dose of Cubolac 6-8 weeks of age (after lambing).
- 2nd dose of Cubolac after 4-6 weeks.
- Vaccination of Lamb of non-vaccinated mothers:
- 1st dose of Cubolac 2 weeks of age (after lambing).
- 2nd dose of Cubolac after 4-6 weeks.
- Vaccination of ewes:
- 2 doses of Cubolac should be given 4-6 weeks apart
Revaccination: A single boosting dose every 6 to 12 months.
Dosage
Dose 5 ml for cattle and 2 ml for sheep and goats.
