B. abortus RB51 is a live attenuated rough strain validated for use in cattle against Brucella abortus, providing a solution to the DIVA problem.

 

Composition

Each dose contains 10-34 x 109 CFU of Brucella abortus, strain RB-51.

 

Indication

Active immunization against Brucella abortus in cattle.

Administration and Dosage

Cattle: 2 ml subcutaneous.

Vaccination program:

Vaccinate heifers between 4 and 10 months of age with 2 ml, administered subcutaneously.

Revaccinate with full dose between 12 and 16 months of age.

Adult cows, non-pregnant: administer 2 ml.

Yearly boosters can be administered if desired, but it is not a prerequisite.
