CLOSTAT Dry

...
Product Description
- CLOSTAT® is an active microbial (probiotic) selected from a unique strain of Bacillus subtilis PB6. This active microbial was isolated from the intestinal tract of healthy chickens surviving a necrotic enteritis outbreak.
- CLOSTAT® produces a specific biocide in the gastrointestinal tract that has inhibitory activity against Clostridium perfringens.

Composition
Spores of Bacillus PB6 (ATCC PTA-6737).

Mode of action
After ingestion of the spores and passage of the stomach, the CLOSTAT® spores germinate, start to multiply in the intestine, and perform their action:
- Modulates against Clostridium spp., it secretes biosurfactins that creates pores in the bacterial cell membranes, causing them to leak and disintegrate.
- Stimulates the proliferation of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in the intestine.
- Reduces intestinal inflammation.
- Stimulates a well-developed and diverse intestinal microbiome.

Indications
1- Prevent the incidence of Clostridia.
2- Prevention and help in the cure of dysbiosis and diarrhea
3- Recovery from antibiotic treatment

Benefits
- Production of distinctive biocides with specific activity against Clostridium perfringens
- Prevention of necrotic enteritis, bacterial enteritis, or dysbacteriosis, and maintenance of a balanced GI tract
- Optimal gut integrity facilitates nutrient absorption
- Allows flock production in an antibiotic-free environment
- Reduction in medication cost due to preventive gut health management
- Improves profit margin through reduced mortalities, improved litter quality and performance, and less rejection at the slaughterhouse
- A balanced gut health is crucial for optimal animal performance.
- A disrupted intestine will quickly lead to dysbacteriosis which is a widespread problem in the poultry industry.
- Surveys indicate that 75 – 85% of all flocks worldwide suffer from sub-clinical necrotic enteritis. It is known as a serious profit killer.
