Product Description

Oxytetracycline is a highly active, broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic with bacteriostatic activity against 

a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

 

Composition

Each 1 gm contains: oxytetracycline HCl: 400 mg

 

Indications

Bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to oxytetracycline and secondary associated bacterial infections during the course of viral or infectious diseases.

Poultry:

1- Respiratory infections, i.e. C.R.D. (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae), 

2- Gastrointestinal infections (Escherichia coli), fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida), etc.

 

Dosage

For oral administration in drinking water

- Recommended therapeutic dosage: 100gm/200 liters of water continuously for 3–5 days

- Recommended prophylactic dosage: 20-50gm/200 liters of water continuously for 3–5 days

- Medicated water or feed should be used immediately and refreshed every 24 hours for the duration of the treatment. 

 

Withdrawal time

Meat and offal: 6 days 

Eggs: 5 days
