Composition

Each 1 gm contains: Doxycycline hyclate: 400 mg (Eq. to doxycycline base 346 mg)

 

Indications

Broiler chicken for the treatment of:

- Mycoplasmosis caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.

- Fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida.

- Infectious coryza caused by Haemophilus paragallinarum. 

 

Dosage

Route of administration: orally via drinking water.

Dose of the whole product: Broiler chicken: 1 gm Doxymed/4 liter of drinking water, for 3-4 days.

 

Warnings & precautions

Doxycycline can chelate cations (e.g., Mg, Mn, and Fe) and this may lead to decreased bioavailability.

 

Withdrawal periods

10 days in broilers

 

Contraindications

- Not permitted for use in laying birds producing eggs for human consumption.

- Do not use in conjugation with bactericidal antibiotics, such as penicillin and cephalosporin
